Daniel Tewes

Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Mr. Tewes is responsible for the marketing and sales operation of CareNext. Among other activities he oversees the selling efforts of the Case Managers and Directors of Business Development as well as marketing/contracting to managed care payers. Mr. Tewes previously served as Director of Subacute Services and then Vice President of Marketing for the Glenhaven Health Care Organization where he became expert at the day-to-day running of the subacute care operation and developed the two largest subacute units in New York State. Mr. Tewes is instrumental in negotiating contracts for CareNext with numerous managed care organizations.

Kathleen M. O'Neill

Vice President Risk Management Services

Kathleen M. O'Neill, RN, BS, JD joined CareNext, LLC in 2007. Ms. O'Neill has over 13 years experience in clinical nursing after which she attended and graduated law school. Ms. O'Neill has been licensed to practice law since 1992, and has done so, with a particular interest in medical malpractice, litigating cases in both New York and New Jersey. Ms. O'Neill has extensive experience in risk/quality issues facing healthcare entities and management of malpractice claims from an insurance prospective.

Ms. O'Neill's responsibilities at Carenext include participating in the continued development and oversight of CareNext Insurance [SPC] Ltd, an off-shore General/Professional Liability Insurance Captive established by CareNext Members and Affiliates. Ms. O'Neill will focus on facility risk exposure and financial liability awareness with the continued goal of reducing risk. She will provide guidance to the Insured’s as necessary, conduct risk management facility assessments and liaison between the Insured’s and Legal Counsel.
